Apulian Pumo
The Pumo is a real cult of Apulian craft tradition!
Its name comes from the Latin pomum, “fruit”, and can be attribiuted to the cult of Pomona, patron goddess of fruit, as well as olive and vine.
The Pumo’s shape resembles a rose bud about to bloom and for this reason it has become a symbol of fertility and prosperity.
Culture and popolar apulian traditions attributed to it a propitiatory function: Pumo becomes a good luck charm against evil.
Pumos are often used as an ornament on balconies or cornices where even today we can admire them: colorful, decorated, big or small but they always are amazing icons of Made in Puglia.
As all our product, also the Pumo is made entirely by hand by Apulian ceramist master, according to the rules of this primitive art, handed down from father to son
The Pumo is also a perfect party favor to create a unique memory for any special occasion such as weddings, parties and events.
